When the founding fathers of Agile wrote The Agile Manifesto, they originally wanted to find a way to improve their software development. The question today is, “Were the founding fathers of Agile thinking big enough?” With time, Agile has evolved beyond software development and is now used to manage work in all sorts of industries. We regularly see Scrum now used in HR, advertising companies, and even to plan vacations! And with this evolution comes a new variation on our Virtual Certified Scrum Master® class!
For years, Braintrust has been promoting the benefits of Scrum for everyone. Heck, we even wrote a book called Scrum For the Rest of Us. We strongly feel that everyone from HR to Marketing to a stay-at-home parent can find value in Scrum and get more done in their day. But we understand that terminology like Agile and Scrum can sound daunting—especially if you associate it with IT and software development. But the thing is, Scrum is for everyone, and we want to make sure every student gets the most out of our CSM® class. That’s why we created Certified Scrum Master® (CSM®) Outside of Software.
Certified Scrum Master® (CSM®) Outside of Software is still a certification course and will still explore the basics of Scrum, the concepts behind Agility and the key roles and responsibilities in the Scrum framework. But, in this special version of the class, we’re banning technical jargon, software-specific examples and case, and we’re even asking students who are in IT to skip this class and attend our regular CSM. We want this class to be practical and relatable for all – “Scrum For The Rest of Us!”
This class is for anyone interested in learning the benefits of Scrum, anyone who works on projects at home or in the workplace, and anyone who works with a team at work, at home, or in social groups.
