Braintrust Consulting Group Brings Alternative Approach to Traditional Project Management

March 23, 2010

Twenty-one IT professionals gathered for a unique and innovative new training course in order to experience firsthand the benefits that Agile Project Management has to offer.

Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) March 17, 2010 – The Braintrust Consulting Group is leading the charge and bringing an alternative approach to Traditional Project Management to Birmingham through their new Agile Project Management course. Braintrust’s Agile Project Management course is targeted to project managers, software development managers, and senior IT leadership.

Twenty-one working professionals from in and around Birmingham joined Braintrust for their inaugural class. Companies represented included Birmingham’s finest in the banking, insurance, and medical fields.

When asked what differentiates Braintrust’s approach from their competitors, company President Brian Rabon remarked, “We realize that listening to someone lecture for eight hours is unproductive and that the best way to learn new concepts is to experience them firsthand.” One of the course attendees, Trent Richardson, CIO of PlanServe commented, “Other courses just read books and talk about ideas. Brian will push you to experience the techniques with hands on exercises. These exercises show the immediate benefits to empowering your teams and building confidence with pebble-sized accomplishments.”

When Braintrust started looking for a venue to hold their public Agile course, New Horizons Birmingham naturally came to mind. Braintrust formed a strategic partnership with New Horizons; in exchange for revenue split New Horizons provided a room and helped promote the event. When asked about the partnership and its future, New Horizon’s GM Bo Wass commented, “We see a lot of potential in upcoming classes to have similar success stories. We very much appreciate your skills in promoting and connecting with target audiences we have not reached. What a difference it makes to work with a partner that drives the business!”
Agile Project Management grew out of the Agile Software Development movement and is focused on achieving; faster speed to market, lower development costs through higher productivity, while maintaining a high level of quality.
